Incase – “Don’t Wanna Let Go”

The Swedish rock band Incase consists of Jimmy Ahxner (lead vocals/guitar), Tomas Granlind (bass), Kimmen Ahxner (drums), and Jonas Karlsson (keys). In the early days, the band also included lead guitarist “Jonny Rocker.”

Incase was formed as an “in-house project” at Centercourt Music studios in Stockholm, Sweden, around 2008. The name “Incase” was carried over from lead singer Jimmy Ahxner’s former youth rock band, which had dissolved a few years earlier. The “in-house project” was fueled by a love for rock ‘n’ roll, good friendships, and plenty of beer 🙂

Before 2011, the band had no ambitions beyond having a great time. However, after writing some solid songs and playing a few live gigs, they decided to release an album. Their first track, “One Day,” was released on October 30, 2012, mixed by none other than English multi-platinum award-winning producer David Bendeth. The song gained attention in the pre-streaming era and received airplay on Bandit Rock, the most popular rock radio station in Sweden at the time.

Unfortunately, “One Day” remained the only song released. Life took its course, and the band had to set aside their plans to continue together. As the years went by, it seemed increasingly unlikely that Incase would ever release more music.

But never say never! Twelve years later, to the day, Incase is proud to announce their return with new music and the release of their song “Don’t Wanna Let Go,” available everywhere since October 30, 2024. Stay tuned for more!
